2018 KU Degree-Level Assessment Award Nomination
The Office of the Provost seeks nominations for the Degree-Level Assessment Award. This annual award recognizes outstanding contributions, commitments, and efforts that degree programs have made to their educational improvement through assessment of student learning. The award alternates between undergraduate and graduate programs; the 2018 award will be for graduate programs. The selected program will receive $5000 that can be used to advance its work on teaching, learning, and assessment. The University Academic Assessment Committee (UAAC) will begin reviewing nominations in mid December 2017, and the recipient will be notified by early February 2018.
To be eligible for this award, the degree program must meet the following criteria:
- The nominated program is a degree-granting graduate program.
- The program submitted its 2016-17 annual program assessment report to the Online Assessment System.
- The selected program will showcase its work at the Student Learning Symposium on February 23, 2018, where the award will be presented. A program representative must be present at the event.
The supporting documents are optional: We will use your annual program assessment report stored at the online assessment system as the primary document for review. Additional supporting documents are not required, but are certainly welcome.
If you have more than 5 documents to submit, please send them directly to Joshua Potter at firstname.lastname@example.org
